About

I am not a politician. My goal is to leave Seattle a better place for my daughter. I want a government that respects individuals and the community.

I encourage high-quality work on data processing software at Google as a tech lead software engineer. Opinions here are my own. My job requires building consensus amongst diverse communities, much of my work involves Apache Software Foundation projects including Apache Beam.

I was born in Bellevue to a loving family, my father was an engineer at Boeing and my mother a nurse. In 1997 my family spent several years living in Southern California followed by several years in Colorado. In 2002 we returned to Mukilteo, where my parents still live.

I attended Kamiak High School and studied Computer Engineering at Washington State University. Go Cougs!

After graduating from college in 2011 I moved to Downtown Seattle for a job at a local tech company. I’ve remained in the area and now live with my wife, daughter, and dog in the Arbor Heights neighborhood of West Seattle.

In the winter and spring I volunteer with FIRST Washington. We teach students valuable life skills and emphasize the value of others through a team-based robotics program.

In the summer and fall I can be found camping with my family in Washington’s beautiful forests or out on our boat in the sound.
